Advanced Data Protection Features

Remote Replication: Quickly recover from a disaster by replicating data stored on the TS-401T to a remote NAS with the built-in block level replication functionality - can be configured for near realtime replication or on can be scheduled for particular times of the day, e.g. outside office hours. QNAP's advanced replication technology reduces replication time and conserves precious network bandwidth by compressing the data before sending it over the network link.

NetBak Replicator: Backup the critical data on your Windows PC to the TS-401T with the included NetBak Replicator software - can be configured for near realtime or scheduled backups. Once setup you can let the backups manage themselves with QNAP’s NetBak Replicator backup software. You simply install the software on your PC and you can backup your files to the TS-201 in a click. You schedule backups to run when it’s convenient, choose what files to backup with filters. You can even backup across the Internet to the TS-201.

CD/DVD Backup: connect an external USB 2.0 CD/DVD drive for data backup/restore.
